What are these plants?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'm back from the Lps and they had some decent plants, which is RARE, so I got 3 of them. I'm really hoping the two smallest I brought home are some anubias, but I'm new at this so I couldn't be sure.

Here they are:

And if someone has an idea about this one, too ...

Thanks in advance! :D

Hmm,I can't tell for sure, but all the leaves look to me like they're anubias, based off of what my anubias leaves look like.

the first two look like anubias to me, though I'm not sure what type. the third one looks like some sort of sword. I'm sorry I couldn't be more specific!

There are many varieties of anubias. The bottom one could be anubias with a longer leaf. Are the roots similar?

First one looks like Anubias coffefolia, the 2nd one is Anubias nana.

The third plant is a sword plant still in 'emersed' form meaning the farm grew it above water. Over time the leaves will melt away and new leaves will grow with a different shape.

I'll shoot pics as soon as I can - For now I can describe the roots like:

Anubias: Short and thicker

Sword: Thin and longer

Thanks! :D

I think the third is a sword of some sort as well... hard to tell for sure what kind by the pic though.

Agreed. My goldies loved to eat my sword until there was nothing left. But they won't touch the anubias. That could be an imperfect way to tell.
