Ok, just bought it.

Shall i feed him this and peas?

Also, what temperature should I gradually lower the tank to after today?

Saki and peas are great! :)

What temp do you normally keep your tank at? For fancy goldfish, 72-76 is considered ideal. :)

Between 21-24 celsius, depending how warm it is outside. I don't use the heater in the Summer usually. Not sure what that is in fahrenheit.

One last question. . are you sure from the pics that his scales are completely flat now?? I am a bit apprehensive. Just fed him his last dose!!

Congrats to you both!! :D I'm so glad to see he has recovered, you've done a great job :)

Based on the pics you provided the scales look nice and flat to me.

hello Black, congratulations in restoring good health to your beautiful goldie :heart i think treatment can stop now. as the fish is displaying the same characteristics as it was during healthier days as well as looking normal and healthy again with scales.

the probiotics that Alex mentioned is something we normally feed our fish after they've gone a round of Antibiotics. this assists in restoring strength to organs that the medicines may have weakened or irritated. often, we do not see if meds have caused any problems, but to be sure, we feed the probiotics.

good work! and congratulations :)

The hikari arrived today :D How much should i feed him and how often. The pellets seem quite small but I don't want to over feed :Scoff:

Yay!

Feed as much he can eat in a minute. :)

That's what i am a but confused about. . he can only find about 1 pellet per minute. Food can be right in front of him yet he'll swim around it clumsily in circles. He's just a very silly fish :)

How about this - 20 pellets daily...break it up into several meals, please :)

That's more than i thought. He's had about 12 today in 2 meals, so i'll feed him once more before sleep time.

I bet you're sick of hearing about Googs! :P I'm just so pleased that he seems to be a very happy fishy now :)

I'm happy he's such a happy fish as well! :D

Let's start with 18-20. If he's fine, continue it that way. Should there be digestive issues, we can always scale it down.
