My Banana is growing out of control...

I know that banana plants are suppose to grow huge but in a short period of time? This is ridonkulous

When I first got it last month

Why am I scared what I will come home to after work....

Thats cool, do you do anything special to your water? I think I'm going to try one of these. Right now I have anacharis and am hoping I can just keep them alive :)

I have been putting some flourish in, it just amazed on how in less than a week it grew that big.

Yes, mind from randoguy is also growing pretty fast. I weighed 2 of them down with bioballs this morning...I hope this will help them take root. Blue (the betta) likes swimming around the roots. I'm tempted to put one in the goldie tank once it gets a bit bigger. there is plenty of room for a bigger plant in there. Do goldies eat the banana plants?

That is awesome! It must be super happy lol I wish mine would spring up like that. All its done is grow big stick roots that look like stilts o.O

My banana plant did that too! I thought it was so weird. I had mine in a 10 gallon and it just kept growing taller until the strand is curled on the surface because it grew taller than the tank, then a little tiny leaf grew on top.

Don't worry your plant is doing what it should. If you want the plant to stay lower just start cutting the leaves that get high and it well stop doing that.
