Regular Member scrappinjaime Posted March 22, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2012 Thats cool, do you do anything special to your water? I think I'm going to try one of these. Right now I have anacharis and am hoping I can just keep them alive

Regular Member ashlee18 Posted March 22, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2012 Very nice! The one that randoguy sent me is very tall too.
Regular Member mjbubbles Posted March 22, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted March 22, 2012 Yes, mind from randoguy is also growing pretty fast. I weighed 2 of them down with bioballs this morning...I hope this will help them take root. Blue (the betta) likes swimming around the roots. I'm tempted to put one in the goldie tank once it gets a bit bigger. there is plenty of room for a bigger plant in there. Do goldies eat the banana plants?

Gccourtney
Most bananna plants grow fast but don't last very long
Regular Member ahardeay Posted May 8, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 8, 2012 My banana plant did that too! I thought it was so weird. I had mine in a 10 gallon and it just kept growing taller until the strand is curled on the surface because it grew taller than the tank, then a little tiny leaf grew on top.
Regular Member Hidr Posted May 8, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted May 8, 2012 Don't worry your plant is doing what it should. If you want the plant to stay lower just start cutting the leaves that get high and it well stop doing that.
