Getting rid of carpet beetles without harming fish

I realize that this is a very specific question, but I just found out that I may have a carpet beetle infestation. There are lots of effective pesticides out there, but I'm worried about using them, since they are probably toxic to fish if they get into the water. Cedar blocks supposedly have a vapor that is toxic to carpet beetles but I don't know if it's also toxic to fish (?).

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had to deal with this before and what you did to resolve it. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!

The first thing that comes to my mind is this natural thing, called "somethingorother earth". It is not harmful for fish or other pets and humans, but effectively kills bugs, fleas etc.

I wish I could remember what it's called.

EDIT: Diatomaceous Earth. You can buy it online. http://www.ghorganics.com/DiatomaceousEarth.html
