Changes to the Broadtail Tank

Recommended Posts

The planter with anubias wasn't working out because the anubias plants I used weren't too healthy to begin with. I hoped they would come back a little bit, but no such luck. So I finally decided to take that out (maybe I'll get some new plants for it sometime to try again) and put in my giant bamboo plant! I had to take this thing out of a tank before because it trapped a lot of poop and the clumsy butterflies tended to get stuck in it. I figured I would try again with the broadtails, since they are a little less clumsy. :P

So here's the tank now. I love the clean, simple look and the asymmetry.

And since I had the camera out, I got some closer photos of the Moons too (Callisto and Ganymede are names of Jupiter's moons). :)

Just lovely! I love the simplicity of your tanks and the way your fish can really be shown off.

Gorgeous! I love the way the tanks look, and Gannymede & Callisto look wonderful, as ever.

On a side note, you and I are exactly off schedule with each other when it comes to the giant bamboo lol. I just took mine out of the 55 for a little bit of redecoration and also so I can clean and disinfect it :)

Great pictures Sakura. Your fish look showstopping and the single bright plant looks really effective against the black background :)

Really tasteful.

I like it though, and the fish are beautiful as always! That plant, I had thought it is a fake plant. :rofl

I love its look though. I assume it is just free floating?

Sakura, they're both gorgeous, as is your tank. And I have to laugh that you even refer to them as being clumsy. I was just admiring how graceful they are. If you want to see clumsy, my ranchus take the prize.

Yeah, it is a fake plant! I have it secured on both ends with clear veggie clips. You just clip it onto a stem of the plant, and then suction it to the wall where you want it.

Thanks for the nice comments guys :)

$900?! Yikes! I wouldn't pay that much. I got both of them for $75 plus $120 in shipping cost.
