Do Dorsel Fins Grow Back?

TREATMENT FOR LOST DORSEL TO GROW?

he has come a long way. he had a fungus patch on,

or where his dorsel fin was to be. its all come off and barely a pin dot

left. but no fin i can see. and the fins on his abdomen,the ones

he moves like "arms". they are half gone and the longer ones

behind those are all the way gone. that one had a liitle fungus

but its gone. he is doin great except for steering and well,he dosent

have very good control. IS THERE TREATMENT?

will they grow back?

Lil Bubbles: Were all the fins torn off by an intake pipe, or was it a disease like finrot? If it was caused by a disease - and the presence of fungus suggests it was - then you first have to address this before looking at regrowth. Have the fins stopped disappearing? Are they red-streaked and do they have whitish edges? Has the fungus completely disappeared and what have you used to treat this?

Mary is right though in that you need to keep your water quality absolutely perfect; this is the greatest aid to healing. What are your water parameters?
