Oranda Fry!

Recommended Posts

I have been noticing that some of the fry look to have telescoping eyes. I pulled 2 that looked to have protruding eyes and 2 that did not. What do you guys think? Notice one is a single tail too.

single tail looks to have telescoping eyes maybe?

Here are a few pics of 2 of the fish. Its hard to see but when you look at the ones that do not have any wen then look at one of these 2 it is noticable. Sorry about the low quality photos

I decided i would snap a few pics of the kids. They are getting their daily water change which makes getting the group a bit easier. There is a good variety of colors so far. Alot of white and orange. I think some will continue to change as time goes on.

The oldest ones are around 3 1/2 months the younger ones are about 2 - 2 1/2 months. I see more telescopes and wens popping up everyday! Have yet to see a telescope with a wen though :(

Thank you Trinket. Just an update i got a new tub installed and filled yesterday. I put in a few seeded sponge filters and a total of 67 juvies. The tub i bought is a 300 gallon. The dimensions are approximately 7'x4'x2'. I am hoping to get another one as soon as the farm store gets one back in stock.

Three hundred gallon tub.....I was thinking 300 gallon tank. Still I'm jealous that you have that kind of space. Does give a guy some ideas though. Fish look great.

If you weren't so far away, I'd take a tele with a wen in a heartbeat.

Whenabouts does one start to see telescoping eyes? I've been interested in breeding for a little while now,and once I find room and a good looking pair,it's on!
