By the way I was doing some research on planting a 5 gal. tank and I found some old post of yours. I read something about "El Natural" tanks. Do you still do that? How has it worked out? It seems to be perfect for my 5 gal. betta tank.

I have moved away from the soil/gravel substrate everything else is still the same. Here is a write up I did for the forum about my set ups.

The 5 gallon has a 13 watt light. Here is a forum just for el natural tanks that I model mine after.

This is where I got started. http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/el-natural/ Over time I have change things that didn't work for me. I started with a bowl. I had the worse trouble keeping the soil under the gravel. If I could find smaller gravel I think it would of helped and I would still be using soil.

Very Cool setup Hidr :) is there any problems keeping all males together??

Looks great Hidr :D Love the natural look :) How many guppies you got in there?

No problems with my 3 males in this tank so far. Don't expect any either.
