From Calico to Sakura

My fantail, Saphira, started out as a calico with some really cool grayish blue coloring. After going out in the pond for the summer, she got a lot more yellow and lost a tiny bit of the black. And now after being back inside for a while she has lost the yellow and lost all the black! She is now a sakura! :o The change was so gradual that I barely even noticed it, but when you compare the before and after photos, it's very obvious.

I find that "grey" colouring is actually a fry colour, that tends to leave them as they mature. Kind of like the fry green that typical goldfish have.

Either way, very beautiful Sakura. And obviously for you, a very pleasant surprise!
