Accidently Put Microbe-clarifier Plus For Saltwater Fish In Tank

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I was so stupid and didn't read the small print that said salt water fish and just put the clarifier plus from microbe lift in the tank! Should I do a full water change or will it be ok? I went to their website and they have no phone numbers and their email questionnaire will be to late.

any advice??

Jobi

I would just do a large water change asap. Maybe a couple of large back to back water changes. And keep an eye on them.

Hi Ashlee, you are such a bodhisattva, bless your heart girl! i am going to do that right now. by the way, how much water change is large 50%, 80 or 90%?

Jobi

I would do 90%, or as close to having the fish out of water. And then one more after that just to be safe.

I think that is a smart plan. If the fish are acting off in any way, do them back to back.

Great to hear. Nice work (and great quick advice Ashlee and Amy!) :)

Will move your thread out of emergency and into diagnosis discussion now.
