What To Do With My Babies?

Due to my bad well water dillema I am at a loss of what to do with my 2wk old fry. If you do not know my tap water atm is testing at 1ppm or more for nitrites. I have been changing out their water on a semi consistent basis, they are in an unestablished tank after all. I am considering putting them in a net box thingy I have and transferring to my established tank. Even though I am treating it for dropsy, but I figure the alternative is worse? I hate to say but I see white spots on some of them so I figure the higher salt content of the water in my basically hospital tank, should help with potential ich. I plan on elevating the salt in their current tank to acclimate them. I hate my life right now... ugh. Instead of the regularly scheduled 50-90% wc I do once or twice a week I will do only a 25% w/c so I won't get too much of a cycle bump and stress out my fish and then afterwards add the babies in the net.

On the other hand they are finally looking like fish, they gots the cute little mouths and faces, although a really creepy see-through body! None of them look deformed to my eyes. There is one monster baby fish, and the others are mostly all the same size except for 2 who look slightly smaller. I last counted exactly a dozen.

I have an idea for your water problem. It might not work, but it might be worth a try. Fill a large container with your tap water, and just run a filter in it. Did you get a pond filter box and pump? (I remember you talking about it.) That would be ideal if you just seeded it with a little medium from a cycled filter. Any filter should work. It would be like a fishless cycle, but the goal would be usable water for your tanks.

I don't think I have a large enough container, maybe my soon to be empty 40g. I am hoping to fishless cycle within 3wks if all else fails and my water issues aren't fixed in a timely manner.
