Regular Member br553 Posted May 29, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted May 29, 2011 I imagine it would not be too difficult to vacuum out the fish poo during water changes. My 20g goldie tank was set up much like this, but with rounded larger pebbles instead of slate rock. It was pretty easy to clean, but I did use an airstone in addition to my HOB filter, so accumulating debris in the substrate wasn't really an issue. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
