Regular Member phishnet Posted April 10, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted April 10, 2011 So I had watched a video of goldfish egg at 36 hours and noticed the eggs in my tank didn't look anything like the one in the video. I decided to check the water parameters and as soon as I dipped my hand in the tank I realized the heater was not working all this time. The water was at 62 degrees. I've just now slowly increased the temperature to 69 degrees. It's probably been about 40 hours since the spawning. I've removed most of the white eggs. There are many eggs that are still amber but no black dots (eyes) since the water temperature was too low for them to develop. Will the eggs survive and hatch?
Regular Member phishnet Posted April 11, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted April 11, 2011 I think I'll provide an update just in case this happens to someone else. The eggs seem to be developing. I see two tiny black dots in each egg and movement in a couple eggs.
