Careing For Cherry Shrimp Babies

so i plan on starting a shrimp tank-cherry shrimp specifically i would like to try breeding them have wanted to for a long time but never got around to it. any ways i have a tank(10 gallon) that i am planning on having heavily planted i havent started the tank yet either the weathers been bad so i havent been able to get to the petstore last trip up i planned on getting some java moss but they were out and didnt have much as far as plants went so i didnt buy any. but i have read alot about the basics of breeding cherries feeding,water temp, ect but my question i cant seem to get answerd is once the babies hatch how do you clean the tank without sucking them all up even with a sponge filter you still need to do water changes?? how do you syphon the gravel??

The babies do not hatch they are born free swimming. You have to be extra extra careful with water changes that you don't suck them up and use a filter they can't get sucked up in too.

My boyfriend has a cherry shrimp tank. He uses sand (which doesn't allow for debris to fall in, just sit on top) and Malaysian Trumpet Snails (MTS) to keep the sand aerated. Then we siphon water out of the water column instead of from in the substrate. And we suck up the shrimp poo off the sand bed, also, of course!

But his CS breed like CRAZY so he doesn't mind sucking up a few of the babies here and again! :D
