How To Clean Test Tubes.

I have some older API test tubes that have started to take the bright yellow color of ammonia and the strong cyan of the nitrites. How do I get this stain away from the test tubes?

I noticed that too, but I could just wipe it out. I took a piece of paper towel, rolled it up like a cigarette, stuffed it in the wet tube and kept twisting the paper towel. I got the test tubes all clean that way.

I have to do this a lot because on of my bad habits is to not dump the tested water after testing, and then it sits there for a couple days until I need them again...

I fill mine up with some hot water and lots of dish soap, let them sit for a few hours or even overnight and then I rinse very well and soak them in vinegar. Usually does the trick. :)
