Hi guys, sorry for creating a new topic on this but my last thread seems to have been forgotten! Here is the last thread about this: http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/index.php?/topic/87871-fin-rot/

And here is the last thing I posted on it (which I haven't gotten replies to):

Update: I added the salt two days ago (and I haven been doing daily water changes) but there hasn't been a change yet. It's hard to tell but it doesn't look better or worse... When should I expect to see an improvement if the salt is helping?

Here is a really bad photo that should serve to show what area of the fin I'm talking about: http://s932.photobucket.com/albums/ad163/npila1/?action=view&current=DSCF4612.jpg

And since I couldn't get a good photo, I took a video: http://s932.photobucket.com/albums/ad163/npila1/?action=view&current=DSCF4613.mp4

If you focus on the lower lobe of the caudal fin, I think there are times when you can see the "missing" part of the fin.

It does take some time for fins to heal. Give it at least a week before you start to worry. With perfect water conditions and a bit of salt it should heal just fine.

Ok thanks, it's been 5 days so far, so I'll wait another week or so and let you know if there is still no improvement.
