Poll : What Type Of Fish Is This?

That fish is big! Do you think it was photo-shopped to look bigger?

I think it's a tough call. The tail type looks like something in-between a comet and a common. It's not quite as long as a comet's tail, and not short enough to be a common's tail. And the body is pretty deep for being a common/comet, but maybe the bodies start to get deeper on a fish that gets that huge!

That fish would be awesome in a huge fish tank.

What gets me the most is the way he holds the fish, just with his thumbs and index fingers... I couldn't hold Hugo like that and she is much smaller. You know where I'm getting at?

Anyway, I don't see a double tail on it. Kind of seems like a sort of hybrid overall, or not?

Yeah I agree, it's probably photoshopped. There's a lot like that showing up all of a sudden. One way I think about it is: If I caught a fish like that, I would take more than one picture... When you google these, there's always one picture... And I'd go to the newspaper and be like look at this! :D

Plus, the lighting is wrong... and I can't even hold my one common who knows me like that so holding a wild fish that big like that... not likely.

Probably common/comet.

I vote photo shop. Looks like he was holding a piece of paper or picture with the way his fingers look pinched. I would think you'd have to hold a fish that big with your whole hands.

Thx for your input guys.

The picture is often used in a Danish aquarium site.

Used to scare people from buying Fancy goldfish for a fish tank that is. :(

I have had more than one disagreements with thoose people.

People claim that this is a fancy goldfish and all fancys have the potential to get this big.

I think most of us here at Koko's knows that is NOT true.

One of the (many) reason's i come here, is the fact that

the danish info on fancy goldfish is very insufficient.

Many still feels that fish like Pearlscale and Orandas are best

suitable for ponds, not thinking about the danish -15 Celcius winter.

I do what i can to help the people that have fancy goldfish in Denmark. :)

That is so odd to hear, I was just watching a danish koi youtube video about a vet home visit to the koi. I guess I just figure if there are that dedicated koi owners that there would be dedicated goldfish owners too. Then again, one doesn't often buy a goldfish for 10 grand.
