Black Moor?

I just got a new fish. He was in the fantail tank, but he definitely isn't a fantail. He looks just like a baby black moor, except he has white/sliver patches on him, I guess like a panda pattern. Is he still a black moor? Sorry I don't have any pictures, he's quarantined right now and he's very stressed so I don't wan to bother him by taking pictures.

Good info given here so far macbeth...sounds like you have a possible Panda Telescope. Black Moor is only reserved for pure black telescopes which were a strain of telescopes originally bred in China and then England. It is rare to find a pure bred Black Moor goldfish now. Therefore the term Moor only should apply to black telescopes.
