Hi, I recently purchased a Betta who was surpirsingly in a community tank with a bunch of Guppies. I plan to move him into my 5 gallon once it is done, but I wanted to know if my tanks temperature of around 66-68 degrees would be ok for a Betta. I know that they prefer 72-80, but as of now, I dont have the money to buy a heater.

Unfortunately bettas won't do well in low temperatures even at 72 degrees they will be very sluggish and not a happy fish. If I were you I would wait until you could afford a heater. :)

Oops I just realized you already got the betta. Then you really need to get a heater as soon as possible.

My friend just loan me a heater today, its not a hang on nor is it come with an attachable suction cup. Is there a way for me to stick it onto my tank. It is also a non total submergiable heater.
