Regular Member us4298 Posted November 15, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2010 Well i currently have my 5 gallon fish tank placed at the floor in the corner of my room, since I have no room to put it anywhere else in the house. I noticed that the left side of the tank seems to have a higher water level than the right side, I think this might be because of an uneven floor leveling. How can I fix this? Can I just tuck a book at the left side to even it out?
Regular Member ashlee18 Posted November 15, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2010 A book will work fine for such a small tank. However, a bigger tank would need a more permanent solution.
Regular Member seheap Posted November 15, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 15, 2010 I agree. A 5g can be leveled with a book, or shims (little wedge shaped pieces of wood, who's entire job it is to level stuff out!) or folded paper, or matchbooks.... But a bigger tank needs to have a sheet of polystyrene (styrofoam or foam insulation) underneath it.
