Regular Member Dr_Shakalu Posted November 11, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2010 Okay, so I finally decided on what I'm going to do for my 168 gallon tank that's going to be stocked with fancies. I'm going to put 2 110 HOB filters on each side and the FX canister in the middle. So that my fish don't get blown around from the outlet hose or sucked in by the inlet hose of the FX5, I'm going to build a spray bar from pvc piping for the outlet and inlet hoses. The question is, where should I place the outlet pipe and where should I put the inlet pipe? Also, I will have a black background so I want to paint the pvc pipes black. What type of safe paint can I use? I will use gravel and there will be a piece of driftwood in the middle. Thanks for any advice, The Doctor,
Regular Member number20121 Posted November 12, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 12, 2010 Why don't you just get black PVC pipe? I am sure it also comes in black. Painting sounds too risky to me. Or you could use black pvc hose and insert thinner pvc pipe to make it look straight.
