Regular Member number20121 Posted November 11, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2010 My mother in law's betta doesn't seem to like his flakes or pellets very much, he's a beast for frozen bloodworms though. I know this is not good enough as he probably needs a bigger variety of nutrients, but I'm just wondering, how long can you keep an opened, thawed cube of frozen food in the fridge?
Regular Member Hidr Posted November 11, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2010 I think it would be like us not freezing our own food. So a few days at most.
Regular Member number20121 Posted November 11, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2010 I see. So it should be find for about 3 days. That way he can have 1 bloodworm as snack each day and the goldis and other tropicals get the rest. Thanks!
Regular Member Kerstin Posted November 11, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 11, 2010 Did you try the freeze dried ones? They keep long and my betta and goldies really like those, too.
Guest Mike and Linda
If it is frozen gel food it is good for 1 week in the fridge. You must keep it in an air tight cont. I do mine like that all the time and the gel is still in the same shape that I put it in the cont.
