Guest Mike and Linda
I have a rena heater and I notice that the temp fluctuates 2 degrees daily is that ok. from 78 F night to 80 F day and back to 78 F night. My Betta still has fin rot on his tail from when I bought him so I don't want it to get worse. Should I keep salt in his tank?
Regular Member shellbell4ever Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 A couple of degrees shouldn't be an issue hope he heals up quick for you I think good clean water should be fine ,I personally never use salt with my Betta's because they sometime react badly to it but if your already using it with no ill effects then your ok
Guest Mike and Linda
I don't use salt unless I have to. Thanks
Regular Member blackteles Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 Agreed with Shell on the temp, Mike...that two degree fluctuation throughout the day wouldn't be detrimental. Hope things clear up quickly!
Regular Member CatfishSoup Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 yeah your fine. not surprised that it does that, especially with the weather getting colder now. also keep good water changes and medicate well and then the fin rot shall hopefully end soon enough !
