I've been waiting for the pet store I shop at to get a new stock of goldfish in, they finally did yesterday. The had alot of nice looking calico ranchus. After standing in front of the tank for about twenty minuts I finally found the one for me. As the pet store worker was trying to net the fish he noticed the fish only had one eye. He recomended I not buy that one. Can any one give me a reason why I shouldnt go back and buy him. Other then the lack of an eye the fish looked totally healthy.

:D Sure get him if you want to. Just make sure if he goes in a tank full of other fish, make sure he can get enough to eat. They may have not suggested him to you because he's not as aesthetically pleasing, and probably not good for breeding purposes. But give him a loving home for sure if you are able to :D

A MISSING eye usually is a sign of injury, not disease, so that is normally safe. If he still had the eye but it was looking really weird, I would be careful.

And don't forget posting photos immediately, or we will find and lynch you.

He is beautiful. I almost came home with a poor little one eyed fantail from a big box store. If he had not been too small for any of my tanks, plus come from this particular store, little Snake Pliskin would have been mine.
