Regular Member kukana d Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 Yesterday was pond moving day-I upgraded from a 130g to a (approx)350g. Since I was working in a confined space,on my patio,I had to empty the old 1 and move it out before bringing the new 1 in. First, I put a 54g rubbermaid in my bathtub: Pumped pond water into it Added an Eheim Ecco filter, airstones, and a few plants-and the 10 fish from the pond Where they stayed for about 8 hrs.......... Emptied the rest of the water into another bin holding the plants,etc...........And scraped some algae off(It had SUCH great algae going)and put it in a container of pond water: Moved the old downstairs, where I hung it from my garage ceilingAnd brought the new 1 up-and started filling: Then-added the little fishies back in around 7pm.Added the plants n such,a light some air stones and the filter: They were VERY HAPPY Then here they are today, after their 1st night in their new home Thank you for following our journey yesterday
Regular Member number20121 Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 Is this an outside pond or is it in your apartment? I thought you lived in an apartment, or maybe I remember something wrong. Either way, this is one nice pond! I would LOVE to have something like that going on myself!
Regular Member Sakura Posted October 30, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2010 Amazing Susan! Well done! It looks totally awesome. I like the design of this one better than your last one too, it seems more suited to being a patio pond.
