Regular Member Hidr Posted October 24, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 24, 2010 Please ignore the cup I am thinning out the trumpet snails. Bully was hiding in the back so no pictures of my angelfish. Full tank Rainbows and some of the BN babies. Boy they sure are growing.

Regular Member johann_pond Posted October 26, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 26, 2010 You are doing low light correct? I never have any luck with Amazons and low light.
Regular Member Hidr Posted October 26, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 26, 2010 There is 45 watts of light on that tank. So it is low light. 29 gallon tank. Sorry my head hurts to much to do the math.

Regular Member johann_pond Posted November 5, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2010 There is 45 watts of light on that tank. So it is low light. 29 gallon tank. Sorry my head hurts to much to do the math. It would be roughly 1.56watts per gallon...LOL. I have roughly the same lighting and have no luck with amazons. It's not even like the goldies are eating them.
Regular Member Hidr Posted November 5, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted November 5, 2010 Hmmm are you planting it too deep? Not deep enough? In just plan gravel? They are root feeders so if your not using soil like I do you would need to add some root tabs to feed them.
