hey everyone im back had too downgrade so now i have a 20 gallon with one goldfish and i have him for a week now and he is still a baby!

sadly he wont move unless it for food.

and then he darts around the tank

then bottom sits for hours

i bought a cool light that has some blue led's that always stay one so at night when the tank is slightly lit is when he moves

what should i do!

Goldies will bottom sit if the water quality isn't quite right. Try leaving the light off for awhile as he may be too stressed right now with it on. Also he may be ill--does he have any red streaks on him anywhere? Maybe you should post this in the disease diagnosis section and more knowledgeable people can help you. Hope your baby gets better soon! :)

i just did a 5 gallon water change and he is swimming around now but only against the glass!

Welcome back, can't wait to see pics of the new guy :) You're ammonia is way high, so you need a big water change and do daily changes until your tank is cycled. It's recommended that once it's cycled, you should still do at least 50% weekly. Ph is kind of high, can you test your tap to make sure it isn't a drastic change? Hope he gets to feeling better :)
