Regular Member Mumzilla Posted October 16, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2010 I am SO excited. I went to Preuss pets in Lansing Mi and fell in love with this 10 in oranda(nose to tip of tail). Rick gave me a heck of a deal and I gave him my naughty, bully shubinkin. Gyrados is fitting in fantastically and everyone is getting along.

Regular Member Mumzilla Posted October 16, 2010 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2010 So to be clear - all orandas have wens, correct? So I definitely have a big, beautiful fantail. Which was what I thought, but let them tell me otherwise.

Regular Member ashlee18 Posted October 17, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2010 Great find. Do orandas have to have a wen? My kenny doesn't and he is a red cap.
Regular Member Lupin Posted October 17, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2010 Great find. Do orandas have to have a wen? My kenny doesn't and he is a red cap. That's what they are known for, wens. Does Kenny's mouth look sharp or round? Orandas usually have rounder mouth shape. If Kenny is still young, it may be just delayed wen growth. Lovely fish.
