Regular Member number20121 Posted October 9, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) I saw Michael's selling Cholla Wood, and just now I saw the same stuff on planted aquariums central. I didn't know you can use it in a tank and that apparently plecos love it. I am just wondering if I could use the one they sell at Michael's? If so, should I boil it to sterilize it etc? Supporter Helen Posted October 9, 2010 Supporter Share Posted October 9, 2010 i would boil and sterilize anything that i got from anywhere before "tanking" it.. just to be on the safe side.. you just never know.. IMO..
Regular Member Cynders Posted October 9, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2010 Since it's an art store, I would be wary. They could have treated it with some kind of chemical. Also see if you can ask the woman at PAC if it will change your pH and if it has tannins. She's always so nice about things.
