Regular Member caitie Posted July 12, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted July 12, 2010 For all you invert experts I have a question about my Amano shrimp. I have three in my goldies tank, 2 females and 1 male. I've had them for over two years now and they seem very healthy molting every few weeks and growing quite big. My two females are pretty much always carrying eggs under their bellies but after a while it looks like they have too many eggs and they literally drop them. Or sometimes the other female or male will pull out whatever eggs are trailing from the shrimp's body and eat them. They never had this problem before and I would regularly see the little larvae floating around when I would turn on the light in the morning. Now it never happens anymore. Any ideas? Here are some pics: In this one I marked the spot where you can see the eggs trailing out of her body.
