Regular Member Pontosfan Posted May 25, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 25, 2010 I was in Pets at Home yesterday, looking at their new and improved fish tanks and was amazed to see slices of cucumber in with the goldfish (one slice per goldfish tank)! They, the fish, were loving it! I've never seen this before and all the staff were busy serving people so i couldn't ask them about it. Is this ok to do? I would love to try it with my fishkies.
Regular Member Hidr Posted May 25, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 25, 2010 Yep. Just need to soften it up some by blanching it. They love it.

Regular Member kukana d Posted May 25, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 25, 2010 A flash boil-so it will make it softer-just a couple of seconds-you don't want it to get too soft

Regular Member ParadiseLost Posted May 25, 2010 Regular Member Share Posted May 25, 2010 They love oranges too and grapes and shelled peas too and basically soft fruit and veggies nom nom. You can buy little plastic clips with suckers on so you can hang the food in the tank for them to nibble on!
