Are Hard Plastic Broadsword Plants Too Hard?

I removed those kinds of plants from my tanks as I found my goldies tails got ripped with them. So silk plants are better but thats just my personal opinion. I use really soft real effect plants they feel and look like real plants but are artificial cant remember what they are called.

Well silk plant is a better choice because they are softer, and won't rip or damage your fish. Although if you could get live plants, they would be very benefitial to your aquarium as they will provide oxygen to your tank, but they also feed off the Nitrates in your tank. I've also heard silk plants detiriorate over time but im not 100% sure if this is true.
