i didnt add any b/c someone threw a chemical in and all my fish died and we dont want that to happen again....thanks guys for the comments i love his color change! especially the orange although i also did like the greyish color..

That is a gorgous fish, such a cute face, congrats. I would be well chuffed if my black oranda ended up that colour.

How did someone put chemicals in your pond? On purpose or by accident? Either way did they have to compensate you for damages?

I think you HAVE to try again! That pond is too pretty to waste!! And it IS a waste not to have beautiful goldies swimming around in there! I can imagine fish slowly swimming around while sitting there in a lawn chair admiring them (with a sub-machine gun across my lap to deter idiots from messing ANY WHERE NEAR IT!!!

Until I joined this site, I had no idea that goldfish changed colors, I hope if any of mine change, they do it as beautifully as yours did! Just gorgeous!

Why not try your hand at some water plants?? If they survive long enough without any nasties being added, then maybe it will be safe to add some fish?? I am totally envious of that beatiful pond!!

What a dramatic change! It really does look like an entirely different fish, it's beautiful regardless. I also love your red and white Ryukin- the red is such a strong shade.
