Regular Member Faust Posted March 16, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 Are these pets or do you also feed them to fish? I know that may sound like a bonehead question, but I am really curious. I used to baby my "Seamonkies", until I started to breed betta fish, and then they just became food to me.
Regular Member nick11380 Posted March 16, 2009 Regular Member Share Posted March 16, 2009 These are pet shrimp. My cherry shrimp have their own 29 gallon aquarium. No fish in my shrimp tanks. Seamonkies are brine shrimp which is a completely different type of shrimp. I feed my fry brine shrimp (seamonkies). You also have to take price into account. You can buy a vile filled with thousands of brine shrimp eggs (which are sold to be hatched for fish food) for something like $4.00, Cherry shrimp cost $1 to $4 per shrimp. Fresh water shrimp is now it's own hobby. With hobbiest dedicated to keeping and breeding the different varities of fresh water shrimp.
