Kissy 1 Posted April 29, 2005 I was looking at your profile to check up on your sick fish and I saw that hector died..and I found this post so I just had to say that I'm sorry. You were a good fishie mom and did the best you could. I did see that other post with the pictures of Paddles and I was like "wow...that's ORAGNGE!" lol. He's looking good Oh and that IS a nice little sketch...I'm guessing you drew that during lecture? I tear all my doodles out of my math notes (who cares about notes anyway!?) and keep them
EatBubbles 0 Posted April 29, 2005 Yeah, my notes pretty much stay with me all day, since I don't take many notes and I use the same notebook for my job (it works like my organizer). So I sketch whenever, and keep my sketches with me. I was looking at your profile to check up on your sick fish and I saw that hector died..and I found this post so I just had to say that I'm sorry. You were a good fishie mom and did the best you could. thanks.. I miss my little ones, but at least Paddles is getting to benefit from what I've learned from this forum!! As we speak, he is doing his daily 20-minutes-on-the-bubble-wall-treadmill routine.

EatBubbles 0 Posted April 30, 2005 I would highly highly recommend the Sony Cybershot DSC-P73.. Unfortunately, I believe it has been officially discontinued, but it is an AWESOME camera. It has a ton of settings to adjust picture output, and it's a 4.1 megapixel. I think I got it for US$160 about a year ago.. It also records video (Mpeg4 format) directly to whatever memory card you have, so you don't have to limit yourself to a certain-second-length buffer time. On my 256mb memory card, I can record up to 11 minutes of video with sound!!! Of course, I had to get the 256 card separately, it only comes with a 16mb. And I think if you're wanting to record video with the camera, you have to get a Memory Stick Pro, not just the regular memory stick. I know this camera is still available new from some stores, but it's about $180 now from whomever has it. eBay has some NIB P73s for $149 last time I checked.
awrieger 0 Posted April 30, 2005 Wow, thanks! All your great compliments have made my day, thank you! A zen garden is exactly what I was trying to do, even adding a lotus plant! I think the best option for Buddha is to seal him up with some sort of weight inside him. I was thinking just enough gravel to hold him down. If I turned him into a filter though, I'd still have to remove him all the time to clean him out which is a lot of bother with such a big ornament (and worrying about breaking either him or the tank!). I think I'm going to leave him until I can put him into a bigger tank. It was actually a bit too cramped even with just three fish in there, not to mention all those plants, so maybe at least a four or five foot tank would be better. Oh, and he's made from pure ceramic (not even painted or glazed), so it's pretty safe to use in an aquarium. Thanks again!
Guest boodleheimer Posted April 30, 2005 Wow! That is one amazing tank! If I get my fish better, I'm going to use your ideas to inspire a better design for my poor fishies' tank! Please post when you're finished! It looks fantastic even now!
