Shrimp with eggs, blending into the background:

Same shrimp chowing on a bit of pro-gold, now you can see the eggs:

Another shrimp, just standing around:

Still strange little creatures. :)

I :heart them!!!!

You are doing great! My ghost shrimp died after one day...so I gave them up for "difficult to keeps"

I have never seen their eggs, that is fascinating. Those baby shrimps when they hatch are going to be.....invisible :yikes !!!!

I think I need to put sponge over the intake on my HOB, and cross my fingers.

:)

LOL! That's great. Those babes will indeed be teeny-tiny.

Soooo cool to see the eggs like that. Amazing photos (as usual!)

Daniel, Do you keep your ghost shrimp in the same tank as your betta? I am looking at your pics and wondering if they would be a good addition to my 5 1/2 gallon betta tank. I am sure they could help pick up the foods that Stewie doesn't eat, keeping the tank cleaner. But, I don't know much at all about shrimp (except that they taste wonderful in a coconut batter and fried) so they could be like the much misunderstood snail in the tank vacuum department.

KA-BLAM passed away. But the shrimp are living in his tank.

I can't answer how well they would go together.

Here's another.

Looks very much like the other one.

3 out of 5 have eggs under their belly.

I put a sponge over the filter intake today to keep the juveniles from being sucked up when they pop. :)

Of course I don't mind. I wouldn't post them if I minded people seeing them. :)
