Regular Member TetraLover Posted October 27, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted October 27, 2008 I have a 10 gallon, heavily planted, with 3 female bettas. I had some guppies in there, but they chased the little dudes around and nipped their tails clean off (they're living with Clifford again, who gets along wonderfully with them) So, after adding MORE PLANTS! (woohoo!) I now have a *slight* algae problem. I don't mind it too much on the side walls, and I clean it off the front and back walls, but it's starting to coat the plants a little. I don't want to buy algae killer, because I'm afraid of it killing my plants and 2-3 snails left in there. Know of any algae eater that is uber passive and would go unnoticed by the three terrors of the deep??
Regular Member liz_okerson Posted October 28, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted October 28, 2008 i dont know what fish would be passive enough...but i CAN say that a chinese algae eater is NOT one i would recommend. I had one with my betta for a bit and he got quite aggressive before i rehomed him. maybe a cory catfish or two would work?
