Regular Member crystal dixon Posted October 16, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2008 I am thinking about changing the color gravel I have in my 55 gal. tank. The lighting in my tank either is not bright enough or the dark natural gravel is making look dark. I was thinking about changing to white gravel with some decorative blue "vase beads" that are round and flat. Which color do you think would make my tank look brighter? Or, should I just change the lighting? Thanks!
Regular Member Chrissy_Bee Posted October 16, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2008 I'd go with a lighter mix of riverstones, I tried white gravel before and it doesn't take long for it to turn green
Regular Member crystal dixon Posted October 17, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 17, 2008 I forgot to ask....what is the best way for me to go about doing the gravel change? I think I read here somewhere that you need to do it gradually? Thanks for the info in advance
