PH-6.8, 7

nitrite-0.25

nitrate-20

KH-50mg/l 5 drops

GH-60mg/l 3 drops API test

I have some corals in my aquarium in order to raise my KH and GH numbers.

I want to put some crushed corals in my Aqua clear power filter (200 gph)

Is that a good idea to replace carbon bag with a bag of crushed corals?

2 month old aqurium still cycling, 20 gallons, 3 gold fish (comets).

I had a few ph crushes before i put corals in aquarium, but i need more.

No did not use baking soda, and ph stabilazer doesnt work well too.

Thank you.

As long as you leave the rest of the filter media alone, replacing the carbon bag shouldn't set you back too far on your cycle. However, I would wait until the tank is done cycling and then replace the carbon bag with crushed coral.

Thank You A Penqin. I can wait till my cycle is over and then replace bags. So far i have no PH crushes and PH is a little low but stable.

While it may not be "pretty," you can put the crushed coral in bags inside the tank itself; it doesn't have to be in the filter, or for that matter, just loose on the bottom like any regular substrate. I'd like to see you get your kh and gh readings higher as soon as possible. They're awfully low. They should be around 100-150. I'd also like to suggest a very large water change to get your nitrates down lower. See your other post for more information on this same issue.
