Guest Lorelei
sorry for posting again so soon. D: i know plants in general tend to help the water quality, but i'd have to get the plants from Big Name Pet Store Chain. i know the water from places like that is awful, so i wanted to know if the water they keep plants in could carry disease/parasites/blah blah blah, snails too. what should i be looking for? or should i forgo it all together? thanks again!!
Regular Member gunbunnyj Posted August 26, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 26, 2008 Plants need to be sterilized before you put them in your tank. And yes they most likely will look terribe for a while after you do it. http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/...showtopic=35594 This thread tells you how to go about it.
Regular Member gunbunnyj Posted August 26, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 26, 2008 Oh. And use the alum treatment for snails. You can do that between bleach dips. It worked quite well. http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/...488&hl=alum
