Regular Member maddy1997 Posted August 21, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hi, I was wondering what other fish could I put in with my goldfish that cleans the bottom of the tank and is fairly small?
Regular Member jyoti411 Posted August 21, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 21, 2008 My personal opinion...Nothing...I prefer having goldies by themselves...they practically would gobble up anything tht fits their mouth..besides being cold water, I personally love to leave them alone..others might be able to throw some light on tankmates..
Regular Member heidiinatree@yahoo.ca Posted August 21, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 21, 2008 yep nothing.... plecos can eat the slimcoat of goldies and are NOT compatible and need lots of space themselves and even snails need at least 2.5 gallons each for themselves
Regular Member amynmitchell Posted August 21, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 21, 2008 Plus, until you get that bigger tank come Christmas you are already overstocked. You'll just have to use an alge scraper and keep it clean yourself. The other thing to realize is that Goldies are bottom feeders so they keep it pretty clean and even other bottom feeders like snails produce waste so what they usually end up cleaning ends up coming back in the form of waste.
