Silver Is Acting Different

The last few days Silver a silver-orange comet is often on her own in the tank, the others are in a group begging when they see me and she is behind the bubbler resting. All her fins are perking, but I do notice she sometimes is a bit tilted. The first thing that came to my mind is eggs but she is only 2.5 inch in body, isn't that to small to have eggs?

Anyway tomorrow they get peas to exclude that she might be constipated.

I really hope I'm just worrying to much as we leave on holiday in 3 days :krazy:

Good news she seems to be her usual self. :) After I posted yesterday I checked on her regularly and she was always with the crowd and begging like the others. They all got a double dose of peas this morning to be on the safe side :D For the 11 days that we are gone, they will only get pellets, in smaller than usual portions ;)

Just curious-- how long have you had Silver? Did she come from the LFS? I'm wondering because even though she is small, she could have eggs if her early growth was stunted.

But glad to hear she is back to normal. It was probably just gas. :P

She is a rescue (still don't know how they managed to live in that disgusting water) and I know she is less than 3 years old as the previous owner once bought 3 goldfish and then sort of dumped them. I think my Godzilla was one of those 3 and she must had kids with an unknown daddy which resulted in Silver and her 6 sisters  . All of them are growing (at least an inch in total length extra in the last 8 months :D ), so I don't think they are terribly stunted, but I think they might be a bit stunted and never reach their full potential.
