Regular Member Chrissy_Bee Posted August 10, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted August 10, 2008 I am supposed to be leaving for 8 days tomorrow (the weather's not looking good though) and I have to leave all my fish in the care of my bf. My little Elaine is in a 10 gallon alone with a cycled aquaclear. The problem is, her poo ect tends to build up because she doesn't swim around and stir it up, so the tank gets dirty faster than most. I usually do frequent water changes and use a turkey baster to remove the excess waste. I don't want my bf to have to do water changes (I just can't see that working out ) so I was thinking of sticking an extra filter in the tank, it would double the gph. The thing is, it isn't cycled. Is it even worth putting it on there?
