Regular Member scaring Posted July 27, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted July 27, 2008 I had a bunch of gravel to clean and I didn't have PP or a pot to boil them in, hence bleach. I poured the rocks into an empty bleach bottle and add enough of 1 part bleach + 4 parts water to cover the rocks + some. I put the lid on, and for the next four hours shake them up every half hour or so. This way it can be shaken vigorously forcing the bleach into every crack and cranny. After four hours, pour out the bleach water, rinse gravel in bottle, then add declore right to the bottle. Again cap and shake vigorously. Then you can dry the gravel on low heat in the oven or out in the sun and have safe gravel.

Regular Member scaring Posted August 1, 2008 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 1, 2008 Would this work on the glass beads? I don't see why not. Bleach shouldn't hurt glass, just be careful about shaking too hard so you don't brak the beads.
