Really Big Singletail Goldfish?

Oh, my. Those woods (the lake at Busse) are just down the road from my a few miles. I cannot imagine that that fish is one left over from years ago, though. The lakes and streams around here freeze solid in the winter. Even the deeper fish lakes have a foot or more of ice on them - many of the "game fish" do not survive the winters. That one almost certainly has to be a "dump".

The only wild fish I've heard of that's that color is a golden trout and this, pretty clearly, isn't that.

Sooooo..... it has to be a dumped goldy. Remember, the single tails can live under ice as long as there's some sort of oxygen source.
