Regular Member thekatiedid Posted July 5, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2008 A little bug landed in my betta tank today.. and literally as I opened the top of the tank to fish it out... my betta lurched at the surface and swallowed him. He was about a 1/4 of an inch long.. some type of beetle, I think. Hopefully this is okay? Should I be worried?
Regular Member heidiinatree@yahoo.ca Posted July 5, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2008 I don't know much about bettas ..but I'm sure it is ok ....that is probably what they ate in their natural enviroment
Regular Member Chrissy_Bee Posted July 5, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2008 I wouldn't worry about it at all As long as the bug wasn't really brightly colored or hand any pesticide on it (and it was alive...so probably was ok), your fish just got a little extra protein!
