123456789 0 Posted June 3, 2008 (edited) chubbygold: did your fish survive? I dont know, i'm still treating it with Maracyn - Two, i also added Epson salt and do regularly water change. My fish pineconed yesterday but it's mroe active......not as sluggish...doesn't look so good though. thoughtsofjoy 2 Posted June 3, 2008 Aquarium salt is NOT what you should be treating with! Epsom salts (1/4 TSP per 10 gals) will help draw out the excess fluid and make him more comfortable. An anti-bacterial food such as MetroMed from goldfishconnection.com or Jungle Labs Anti-Bacterial food will be helpful. IMPORTANT: What are your EXACT water parameters? -and- Did you turn off the light and cover the tank with a towel when treating with Maracyn-2? This medication is sensitive to light and its active ingredients can be neutralized by light exposure. We need to know as much as possible about the tank setup, water conditions, and fish's disease history so we can help you. Please fill out as many of the questions in the white box at the top of this page as possible!
