Regular Member vickielm Posted January 12, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted January 12, 2008 I wasn't sure whether to put this here or not since its about silk plants, but does anyone have any suggestions on what to use to clean silk plants safely? It seems that anything that is strong enough to get the brown algae gunk off of the plants is too strong to be safe for the tank. Scrubbing them off just seems to tear them up, and you never seem to get all of it. Bleach and water will kill it immediately, but thats too unsafe to use for anything to put back in the tank. I've fought with this forever and any suggestions would be appreciated!
Regular Member Blue Posted January 12, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted January 12, 2008 I use a toothbrush to get it off. Other thing I do is put em all in pot of hot water leave em for half hour or so then brush them. If I recall theres a thread on here about cleaning ornaments and stuff
