It can take a long time in some tanks to cycle. It took over 13 weeks for my 56 to build a nice, solid cycle. Patience is the key.

I have had tanks take less then a week. This is tanks I set up Watsand style.

I have had tanks that seem to never cycle. Like my 75 gallon took forever been a while so don't really remember how long but is was more then 2 months.

My 5 gallon was my first try at Goldfish so that tank cycled in one month with a fish, the 20 gallon got water, rock and filters from the 5 gallon and I used Cycle, it still took a month to cycle with one fish in it. I think the biggest pain with cycling with a fish is when they get sick, the meds affect the cycle.
